High aluminum brick is aluminum silicate refractory material with Al2O3 above 48%. Because of the high alumina content, it is called high aluminum refractory. It can also be classified according to Al2O3 content, such as: a high alumina brick Al2O3>75%; The Al2O3 of secondary high aluminum bricks is 65%~70%, and the Al2O3 of tertiary high aluminum bricks is 55%~60%.

Due to the high refractoriness, the refractoriness is generally 1750~1790 degree .

② The load softening temperature is high, generally in the 1400-1520 degree .

High aluminum brick has more Al2O3 content, which is close to neutral materials. The slag resistance of high-aluminum materials is enhanced with the increase of Al2O3 content, but its corrosion resistance to alkaline slag is lower than that of alkaline refractory materials, and the reduction of impurity content is conducive to improving the slag resistance. At the same time, increasing the density of the material and reducing the porosity are also effective measures to improve its slag resistance.

The expansion coefficient of brick is small. The thermal shock resistance of high alumina brick is worse than that of clay brick, which is closely related to the mineral composition in the material. The first and second high aluminum bricks are worse than the third high aluminum bricks. In the production, the thermal shock resistance of the material is often improved by improving the particle structure characteristics of the material or adding a certain amount of synthetic cordierite (2MgO·2Al2O3·SiO2) and other minerals.
